  • Families at risk of exclusion will be able to receive 75,000 food rations

Madrid , July 7, 2021.- SegurCaixa Adeslas has delivered this morning 20,000 euros to the Federation of Food Banks (FESBAL) to support its work for the benefit of disadvantaged families or at risk of exclusion. The company raised this amount in a solidarity challenge in which it offered its employees to transform each kilometer traveled, walking or running, into a kilo of food. The donation will allow the purchase of 75,000 food rations for distribution among the 54 food banks grouped in the Federation.

The solidarity initiative had the participation of 180 employees, who synchronized their wearables and mobile phones with Adeslas Salud y Bienestar, the digital platform aimed at promoting healthy habits among policyholders. For a month, the platform recorded the distance covered in their walking and running sessions.

Currently, SegurCaixa Adeslas maintains another active initiative in favor of food banks. In this case, all users of Adeslas Salud y Bienestar can exchange the points obtained in their health and sports challenges for donations of between 10 and 30 euros for FESBAL. With these projects, SegurCaixa Adeslas pursues the double objective of promoting active life and healthy habits, while helping to alleviate poverty and inequality that have been accentuated by the pandemic.
