What is an authorisation?
To be able to carry out certain tests, treatments or interventions, it is necessary to request a medical authorisation.
Do so easily from your Health Customer Area.
Did you know that your doctor can provide you with authorisation for certain tests?
Your doctor can provide you with the pre-authorised prescriptions of the most frequent diagnostic tests, so that you can avoid such step. The tests that can be prescribed by your doctor are as follows:
- Magnetic resonance
- Pathological anatomy
- CT-scan
- Ergometry and Holter
- Nuclear medicine
- Optical coherence tomography
If you need to have any of these tests carried out, ask your doctor if they can provide the authorisation.
How can I request an authorisation?
1
Request an appointment for the test or treatment to be authorised
If you still do not have an appointment consult your medical Healthcare Provider List.
We will request the name of the medical centre and the date on which it will be carried out
2
Prepare your documentation
Keep the authorisation slip or the medical referral at hand. You must attach a photograph in the process.
In some cases, we will request a medical report.
3
Now access your Health Customer Area
Select the “Authorisations” option and follow the steps.
In only three minutes you will complete your request.
4
You will receive a response
If everything is correct, we will send your authorisation by email in a maximum period of 48 working hours.
